The Rabbit and the Fox, by Jacqui Shepherd

Barbara’s Book Review

While going about her day in a lovely forest, a little rabbit comes face to face with a hungry fox. In this story of patience, the rabbit outwits the fox by waiting patiently in a hole until the fox falls asleep. The pacing of Jacqui Shepherd’s book creates a sense of time passing as the little rabbit waits and waits while the fox hungrily waits and waits. Bold illustrations also add to this sense of elapsing time.

This is a fun book which exemplifies how patience can help us through many situations.

I recommend this book for children ages 4-8.
